This notion is now taking a more \u2018secular\u2019 guise, as it extends to the way people look and dress. If you\u2019re more \u2018white\u2019 and reveal more flesh, then you\u2019re in. If you differ from that, you\u2019re more likely to be out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A losing battle for the many people like us, whether we wear bikinis, one-piece suits, western clothes, hijabs or niqabs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You must hand it to Israel: it has succeeded in pink-washing, tourism-washing and bikini-washing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
People like us, no matter how ‘westernised’, will never be fully accepted in the West.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
